Peirano Estate with Michael Smith/ Classique

Lodi property..
The whites were servedway to cold to really show much.. the chard was wente clone and almost sweet. viognier was missing the nose. and THE OTher was nice but definitely chard driven

The reds to a t had a strong vegetal character on the nose, except for

cabernet Sauvignon 2012  fruit driven nose with good tannin and fruit on the palate
Petite Sirah tobacco/tar nose with lots of juicy and sturdy tannin on the palate.. could handle itself in a steak fight..

All of these wines were line priced and good value in general.. but really liked the Petite Sirah the best.
