golden barrel

Baron de Hoen Alsace Gewurztraminer 2011.. traditional nose if a little more restrained... lots of sweet edges with some heat.

Baron de Hoen Alsace Cremant NV  riesling, pinot blanc and pinot gris sparkling.. fruity nose with a little residual sugar on the palate but the finish was of that burnt asprin character

Cave de Tain Crozes Hermitage 2009  a touch of green veg on the nose, juicy on the palate.. with more green notes on the finish

Cave de Tain Marsanne 2011 yellowish golden, typical for the varietal.. hard to get any nose from it.. creamy on the palate.. a little oaky

Cave de Tain St Joseph 2010  lovely nose of coffee and mocha, very concentrated on the front but the finish comes just a little too quickly

Chateau Lagrezette Purple Malbec 2011.. dark color in the glass.. mouth filling tannins.. coffee and pepper on the finish.. very pleasant

Chateau Lagrezette Cahors Malbec 2006  oaky nose with not a lot of fruit and not a lot of fruit on the palate.. may be showing its age... the oak tannins would be nicer if they were a little smoother
